Quick answer
How do I contact WebReaderAPI?
Write to [email protected] for help with the API, your account or a payment; Email support answers within 12 hours, every day of the week, including help with crawls and integrations. Site owners and anyone reporting misuse of the WebReaderAPI crawler can write to [email protected]. Our team will never ask you for your account number or an API key by email or chat.
What makes a support request quick to answer?
A short message with the facts gets the quickest answer:
- the order ID from your order history, for billing questions;
- the time of the request, the endpoint and the error code, for API problems;
- the URL you tried to read, if a page did not come back as expected.
Never send your API key or your account number by email.
I run a website. How do I reach you?
Write to [email protected] with your domain, the date and time, and a line of your server log showing the user agent WebReaderAPI/1.0 (+https://webreaderapi.com/bot/). To stop our crawler without writing to us, add a rule for WebReaderAPI to your robots.txt; the bot page has ready-made examples. A person reads every abuse report, and accounts found misusing the service are suspended.
What can support help with?
Anything about using the API or your account:
- a page that comes back empty, cut short or with the wrong section kept as main content;
- an error code you do not understand, or a crawl job that stops early;
- a top-up that has not appeared on your balance after its confirmations;
- a refund request under the refund policy;
- a higher concurrency limit for production use.
Support cannot make a site accept our crawler. When a site refuses us, the only route is the site owner's permission.
How do I report a payment problem?
Give the coin, the network, the amount sent and the transaction ID, together with the order ID from the client area. These are enough to find any transfer on the blockchain. Do not include private keys, seed phrases, your account number or your API key: we never need them, and anyone asking for them is not us.
Is there a chat or a phone line?
No. Email keeps a written record for both sides and lets us answer precisely, with logs at hand. For the state of the API, see the status page; for common questions, the FAQ.
